I think you should get an open hole but keep your old flute to use for marching band because marching band is really hard on your instrument. Also you should probably not get one with an inline g key depending on what you`re used to because that is very hard to get used to covering.

you definatly should get open hole flute. they have better sound. would also advise not to get a jupiter.
ps. selmers are generaly good instruments.

i don`t play flute myself, but i do know that open hole flutes are better. also, don`t get a professional instrument for marching.
