Hi -
I am part of a relatively new flute trio consisting of myself, my former teacher and band director and someone from my band. The playing is awesome, but we are having a terrible time coming up with a name. One person with some influence has come up with Flute Loops. Now, considering that we are playing classical pieces professionally, this sounds way too elementary and frivolous. We have already tried something geographical, but everyone around here does that already. The only one that has been reasonable so far is Triple Melody. We`re trying to come up with something creative that sounds professional, yet not boring or stuffy at the same time. If anyone has any ideas, please post back... we`re pretty desperate!

prehaps `B double flat` b/c one of you is in tune and the rest are flat because flutes have a reputation for being out of tune. only a joke. i thought it was quite witty but...

ive been playing for about seven years. i was only joking around. my sense of humour i guess.
the flute section in my band are all out of tune and we just laugh about it. sorry i didn`t take it seriously. SORRY!

I don`t see how a flute could be out of tune, but that`s of topic. If I was joining a professional band and we were looking for a name,I`d look at titles of famous flute songs, so if I was starting a flute trio, maybe I`d name it "Flute Trio in G" or something like that.

You could call your group "The Counterpoints". I`ll give you more suggestions as soon as I think of them.
