We have the same old music and its really boring. am i the only person that thinks like this? come on, i`m 13 years old and i love new music with flute solos.i`ve been playing for about 2 years. flute rocks. has anyone ever heard of the band "superchick"? well, their awsome and really upbeat. please write something. bye!

It`s the usual music teachers thought, you might be able to play the fast upbeat music, but that doesn`t mean that everyone else can play it, assuming that you can. So if everyone can`t play it, than the teach won`t approve of the music. When students are beginners[b/], the teacher will give them easy music to play.

Wow!Cool!Well...i`m an oboe player...song pieces...y dun u ask ur teacher to find the scores for Lady Marmalade,Wombat Shuffle or Sock Hop Tonight...these few pieces are realli nice...

I hate the music that my teacher gives me because i am used to playing level`s 4-6 flute(because i was involved with honour band). It just get`s boring. i`ve been playing my flute for only 3 years and can play the whole range on the flute, so all of the music that i get from my teacher is boring.

I know what you mean, music teachers always give their students easy music to play.

Now I remember elementary school being really easy music, and depending on the high school it can get really hard. Right now, we`re playing this transcription of Marche Slave (Tchaikovsky) and it`s quite a challenging piece, reminds me of when we played 1812 Overture when I was in grade 10

Wow!Well...I think tat mayb teachers giv students easy pieces because there might be students tat has juz joined the band n they might not be familiar wif the notes...

See if your school or your community has a local flute choir (multiple flute ensemble). I`m in one, and we generally get pretty tight music, and the skill level of the music is independent of your grade/age-you generally get whatever you can play the best.
