oh my gosh...

how did this end up like this?? All i wanted to know was if anyone knew of a hard piece of music that is as equally beautiful as it is challenging. Thants all I wanted to know. And now I have people saying "Oh, who cares if you`re good? Dont let it get to your head..." I, personally, do not think I am all that great, although some think otherwise. I think I am a mediocre player who has a LOT of room to grow before I can consider myself a "good" player.

And I`m attempting something very challenging because I know if I try hard enough, I can do it. And if I know I cannot do something like Sonatine, Then I would`ve figured it out a while ago. I ush myself very hard. Thats the best explanation I can give.

Now I`m sorry I put this topic up here. If you suddenly think I am a *insert profane language in this sector* then it sucks to be you.

Ok, so if you know of a veyr beautiful yet very challenging piece of music that would be good for solo and ensemble, please reply to this!

Why don`t you try hot cross buns. From what you just described, it sounds like it should be okay for your level of playing. But... I am not quite sure, be very carfull of the key signature on that one.

Taffanel`s Andante Pastoral and Scherzettino is a very pretty piece... it`s not quite as technically difficult as some of the others on your list, but I learned it after I learned Syrinx and the Chaminade so I guess it`s somewhere in the middle as far as difficulty goes. The Andante Pastoral is very beautiful and expressive. If you count incorrectly on it while playing with the piano accompaniment you can definitely count on it falling apart. -.- The Scherzettino is fun as well.
