I am looking for a flute. i currently play bamboo flutes. I am looking for a metal one. I want a good sounding one and one that is good quality. I would like tips on finding one with a soothing sound. Like in the song spill the wine by War. If any one can tell me about a flute like that i will really appreciate it thanks.

my music teacher told me to get a yamaha or bundy cuase i just got a flute last summer and it sucks its old and horrible thats what i was told that those 2 were recomended by a senoir flute that has been playing for 8 years

Do intermediate flutes sound as good as regular or professional ones? I am interested in a nice sounding one. I am thinking about Yamaha. I am going to try some out in some shops this week.
