In spite of some assumptions here, I am a far lighter person than you may think.

Arak does have a good sense of humor. You just got to get to know him.

I am fairly careful with humour in a written form, in very varied company, in an international setting with possibly many cultures.

It is VERY easy to be misunderstood, to hurt, partly because of lack of facial expression, body language, and tone of voice. A huge proportion of humour is made at somebody`s expense. One person`s humour is very likely very offensive to another person.

Humour in different countries varies widely.

Very risky for a person who likes basically to be kind to others.

I really understand you, Arak, when you say that responses can be taken the wrong way. You and I have had our arguments...I have to say,though, that I had fun composing replies to some of our arguments-it rivals what I have written in any one of my stories or novels so far!
My friends also think that I am too dark and sinister...they try and lighten me up, but those are the same friends that posted the nasty things about me on a previous thread...so I fail to find the humor. But I am actually a person craving light, and I can be very funny and fun to be around, too!

I am really glad that you, Arak, and Kara and KC and myself can all take a short break from the world of flutes and music and say things like this...
