I wondered if perhaps someone could clear up an enquiry for me. I posted a message last week, basically saying "hello, I``m new", but when I came back online to read it, it was gone. Perhaps I just can`t find it, or has it been deleted? If it`s just my stupidity, fair enough; if it has been deleted I`d appreciate if the moderators could provide me with a reason since I didn`t say anything that could be construed as ofensive.

(Incidentally, I`m not going to be back in Britain until Tuesday morning, so my reply will have to wait till then.)

I, too, wondered what happened to that thread.

Mrs Carbohydrate did say something about hardly (or not) playing flute now. Could that be a reason for removing the thread? If so, then I think it is unfair, because an EX-flute player has a different but worthy perspective to contribute to flute playing.

There was one post in the thread which I think was hardly welcoming, but that was not a reason for the WHOLE thread to vanish.

Or perhaps the thread is still there? I can`t find it.

An explanation of what has happened would be most welcome. Otherwise ANY speculation is rife... Was it a personal grievance that the moderator had? Are people in Russia excluded? Does the forum have a closed membership? .......

I will be one to say hello to you!! I remember you from the flute.com board. It`s nice to hear from you again...

Alot of people on here also posted on the (shut down, for now(permanently?))flute.com board. Most of the postings there were more adult (not necessarily mature), and it suffered attacks by trolls and hackers (who probably had no interest in flute playing at all), that made a difficult user interface, unusable, in a manner of speaking.

Don`t take my "play nicely" phrase, from the deleted post wrong, but I only know of this board and Galway`s, and I prefer the company here.

And to Mrs Carbohydrate, I extend another hearty Welcome!
