Kara,
You needed to close the bold properly as written in the section to the left of the composition box. forgot the part after your bold section.

Kara, I think that the reason why it didn`t work before Kara (Judging by the source code) was that the closing HTML used was not a bracket but a pair of < pointer thingies

Gold?    12:13 on Wednesday, August 3, 2005

Both of my teachers have gold flutes. One has a powell, one has a muramatsu. One paid for hers, One was given to her by Ervin Monroe because she worked for him or soemthing stupid like that.

I must disagree with the whole "15yr olds are naive" and whatnot. When I was 15, I had seen too much to even comprehend it. Most people called me the "young grandma" because I had gone through so much. My maturity level was beyond those in their early 20s, according to my psychologist. My responsibility was also on the brink of adulthood instead of teenagehood. And whats sad about it, While everyone was excited to drink and party and become 20-something party animals, I was just yearning to be a kid because the last "kid experience" i had was when i was 13. And that was going to Chuck E Cheese for my little 2nd cousins birthday party. And I`m not sticking up for anyone, mind you. But I severly dislike it when someone says "oh, they`re just a spoiled little brat... damn teenagers". For example, my family can afford a gold flute if they wanted to. Instead, we invest in other things than cosemetics. My silver flute is severly comparable to my teachers gold one. Both of them. Although the gold does bring a small amount of warmth to the flute, its only if the headjoint is gold and the riser is gold as well. the body could be made out of aluminum foil. well, not exactly, but i surely hope you get what I am saying.

Many kids are subject to jealousy if they have something nicer than them. If you are worried about this occurring, then just get a gold headjoint with riser. or a WHITE GOLD flute. The body hsa nothing to do with sound. Its all in the headjoint and riser.

Ok, Im off. I have to sneeze very badly

Hi, hoping to get a quick response, I don`t know much about flutes or flute forums, but I am needing to purchase a yamaha flute for my daughter, her band instrutor specifies yamaha), and I am looking for insight/recommendations for when I go shopping. I only know about clarinets & that was too many years ago to mention. This will be her 2nd flute;the flute she uses now is one that I purchased @ Sam`s Wholesale grocery, don`t laugh..I wanted to make sure before I went for the real thing, She is almost 12 now, has played for a couple years...I would like for this next flute to go through highschool with her...any advice is welcome, we are probably in the 1,200 USA to 2,000 price range. Thank you

Go to fluteworld.com, wwandbw.com, and justflutes.com for an amazing selection and great prices on flutes.

If you`re considering Yamaha you may want to import one from the UK via justflutes.com as Yamaha flutes provided to the US market are of less quality and lacking features.
