I wrote to this guy a few days ago and ask him that if he was a school band director for 18 years then he should know that you NEVER put greese on the joints.

Why on earth do these cheap flute on ebay come with bottle of joint greese???

Needless to say, the guy never responded to my question. Lol!

Some of these are just too funny! You wouldn`t believe some of the responses that I have gotten off of people. I am going to have to start saving them.

One famous saying,
"This flute is a professional model because it is made of real silver and not nickel like most."

It can only get posted on the listing if the seller decides to put it on there for everyone to see.

Of course this guy choice not to. Gee...I wonder why? Lol!

The music store where I teach just got in a few "Flute maintenance kits" that have a nice tube of cork grease in the packet. -actually may be better than the kits that have the screwdriver and the bottle of lousy key oil.
I had one student who, after I told her not to use the oil, proceeded to oil her pads.
-down with stewpud people!!
~Bilbo-who can`t type either.

Too funny!

I just came from a flute specialty shop and I bought some cork grease their for my Oboe. Why would a shop that deals in flutes carry "soft/fine" cork grease?

Probably so you grease up your flute so you have to take it back into them to get it fixed after it has been all gummed up.
