For insurance purposes...

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is maybe a bit spammy (as it`s just asking for a sort of valuation), but I`m having trouble finding the value of my flute, for insurance purposes, and wondered if any of you here might have a clue. I`m off to uni and want to make sure it`s insured properly so I don`t have to just get a dodgy ultra-cheap one if someone evil steals it from me.
It`s a Jupiter flute. My parents bought it for me about 6 or 7 years ago (I think, but it`s been a long time) when it was about £550, but I think it was discounted for being ex-display or something. It`s got a solid silver body and head with a B foot joint, open-holed and in-line keys. I`m not sure what it`s model number is either.
I`ve tried searching for it on the net but can`t seem to find the right one, and it`s difficult when you don`t know the model. What I need is an approximate value of a new one the same (or obviously equivalent newer model), preferably in British pounds!
If anyone can help that`d be great. Thanks!

A entry level (711) sold silver Jupter can run from £550-£950. You don`t have the model number from the flute?

a qualified repair technician should be able to write you an appraisal, or the store where you bought it should

I didn`t buy it from a store and it was years ago, so thats no good.
Right, I`ve had another look. It says SFL-711RB. Can`t find that in a google search.
I sound really clueless. I`m not generally!

Reenie, it does not matter if you didn`t buy it from a store. A store can still appraise it for you.

Sorry, I didn`t know how to translate that into British pounds. Maybe another board memeber does?

Ok thanks. Bit annoying when there are loads of different prices for it. I suppose you`d take the manufacturer`s retail price though.
Thanks for all your help!
