Andrew, have you tried the Yamaha yet? You really should play test them all before deciding. It may sound like the best price or more bang for the buck, but that can be misleading. The mechanism is so much better just from the Yamamaha to the Muramatsu EX or Miyazawa. Remember, you get what you pay for.
It also depends on what level you are at in playing. These differences might not be quite as noticable to a lesser developed player.

I`ve decided on the miyawaza. If I decide to replace my piccolo, I will get the Armstrong 310. It`s composition body with 2 headjoints. composition and silver. I do not want a wooden one, as I`m worried about swelling and cracking.
Thank You Everyone For Your Help!!!

Um, M... Remember this is a place for suggestions... NO adhominim arguents, please! Some people condsider Gemindhardts a quality instrument yet all my students who have one have had problems with it, including myself.... Armstrongs are very nice flutes (and piccolo`s)!
Oh, and I meant either or on the question whether I suggested an Armstrong flute or piccolo!
Good choice, though! I hope it works well for you!

I hope you were able to try the flute before making your choice. I think that Armstrong piccs are wonderful. I used to own one back in High School and never once had a problem with it. I now use an Emerson all plastic picc as my backup to my wood one. I think that I prefer the Emerson over the Armstrong.
