Anyone ever play this Aspen Jubilee for concert band? It`s CRAZY! Lots of high Fs with As it`s so awkward! I try to play it all but my fingers have actually gotten sore from practice! The director wants us to catch what we can and at least the downbeats but wow...

I haven`t ever played the piece - who is the composer? Is it possible to use harmonic fingerings for the faster passages?

It`s by Ron Nelson. It has a series of 16th notes and the tempo is 160. The notes go 2nd octave Bflat, 3rd octave A, 3rd octave F then 2nd octave D as one set then 2nd octave Bflat to 2nd D, 3rd F then A and back to 2nd Bflat and this is reapeated 3x and many times in the peice. It`s more of an effect but I get all must up even trying to take out some notes, I end up getting totally lost. I don`t know if there is an alternate fingering for it. It`s the A to F and D and going up and down very awkward.
