nevermind just forget what i said because i need em. tips too.my tone isnt always even and its sometimes airy.pleas help!

Krystina: The fingerings you have from knowing the flute are ok, but you might want to try www.wfg.woodwind.org for some alternate fingerings that might work for you.

April: Did you mean you`re airy on the piccolo? You might be aiming your air too high... by pouting your upper lip over your lower lip a slight bit, you can aim the air lower into the embouchure hole. Also watch that you`re not covering too much, and keep your aim stream VERY small. If you play for a bit, then look at the condensed air stuff on the opposite edge of the hole, that shows you what you`re doing... you want there to be a tiny little stream in the middle. This is the same for the flute but of course it requires a different embouchure.
