"The Swan" by St. Saens is the MOST beautiful song ever. It is so lush and gorgeous! :-) (Sorry, I just really like that song... lol)

I like the Flight of the Bumblebee. It`s a really kool song.

I really luv Lord of the rings "concerning hobbits" it`s so awesome

I also agree that " The swan " is also another beautiful song, I have the song on my 25 classical favorites and I listen to it all the time.

I went to go listen to the RCC Wind Ensemble awhile back and two of the songs they performed were Symphonic Dances #3
and Shenandoah

Symphonic Dances #3 is one of my favorite Concert Band pieces and the flute parts would be really cool to play. (that song is really catchy too lol)

That arrangement of Shenandoah brought me to tears it was so moving. There was a flute trio halfway into the song that was just perfect ^^

As far as people wanting sheet music for "Over the Rainbow" It really isn`t that hard to find out for yourself... I don`t remember what key it`s in, I never wrote it down... just sing it and then play what you sing on your flute. It will also help train your ears to identify notes without a tuner.

I really have grown to dislike that song...

On top of that song being played at least 4 times every hour 6 years ago on the radio station, every flute player in my elementary school (or any other instrument) would play that song over and over again.

God it was painful to hear it so much... It just left me asking them why beat the dead horse?

Another theme that I like learn to play is " Han Solo and the Princess theme" I LOVE that song, it is another beautiful song. Does anyone know where I can find any star wars music for the flute online for free? I know it`s a slim chance of finding any free music sheet from John Williams, but if anyone has any recommondtions I open.

In the late 50`s or early 60`s there was a popular song featuring the flute called Swinging Shepard Blues. It was awesome.

My favorite is probably The Thornbirds and Lament for the Wild Geese which are flute and piano duets arranged by Galway and Phil Coulter, from there Legends book.

hey! im Cynthia....i am a flutist....i know where you can find songs....its called the "accent on achievement flute book 1". there are alot of songs in this book.....so many traditional songs from anthums...to just songs that we hear everyday.....look it up...its a great book...u can learn how to use the flute too! :D
