A while back I told you about my little eight your oldfriend who had a mysterious mass in his neck. He underwent surgery yesterday, but had a msssive stroke this morning. He is in an induced coma, but the outcome is bleak. We are looking for a miraculous turn-around.
Please keep Alex and his family in your prayers. He is such a cool kid, very imressive and just such a great kid.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family.

Kippsix, I feel for you and everybody else involved. So much sadder when such things happen to a kid.

Kippsix, have you heard anything more on how Alex is doing? He was added to the prayer chain and daily prayer list by my freinds and family, so I hope this helps. That little boy has a LOT of people praying for him, so hopefully it all works out.

Alex`s brain was swelling uncontrollably, so they did a craniectomy (removal of the skull bone over that half of the brain)on Saturday night. They are keeping him in the coma, his body temp is being kept at 90 degrees, all to help reduce the brain swelling. He has been getting CT scans every 4 hours, and it appears that the progression of the damage has stopped, and not passed over to the left brain.
They are saying that the entire right brain is "gone". However, there is no way to predict his functioning level.
I was with him today. The coma is deep, so he looks peaceful. The room is kept dark and quiet to decrease any stimulation that may effect his brain.
It is so sad and painful. All of your prayers are so important and appreciated.
