LOL Me too

"My resolution is to practice at least my flute, picc and alto for at least 6 hours a day in order to recieve the best Bmus degree possible. loads of work but it be worth it in the end"

True. I told my mom that I would practice by the end of next year 2 hrs every day if I made wind ensemble next year and only an hour and a half if I made concert band and she just shaked her head.

Yeah I set myself a goal in September that if I made it into one of Irelands major youth orchestras I would actually practice the pieces for the show and stuff. It turns out I made one of the best and was the youngest member they have ever had. The thing is because I amde it in I thought ah well the hard part is over now I donnt need to practice. How wrong was I?!Anyway we are playing a naional show with all the orchestras of Ireland in February and so I have set myself a goal to practice my orchestra pieces as well as my exam pieces.
I was also thinking about the whole keep my bedroom clean thing but you know.....

p.s. **HAVE A FLUTASTIC NEW YEAR**

I`d really like to make it in to the Masterworks Orchestra at Blue Lake, win the solo competition at Blue Lake and get to play on the radio (although that is pretty unrealistic) and make it in to Interlochen. Does anybody here know if they`re still doing a flute workshop there? I`ve searched everywhere but can`t find information for it.

I play in the Dublin Youth Orchestra- Its one of Irelands best youth orchestras. I also play for a lesser known one but we are still ok. This year I hope to try out for the National Youth Orchestra too? What about you Ms. Carbo?

I auditioned for the NYO when I was at school, but didn`t get in. Not played much since I lieft school due to a combination of chronic joint problems that I CANNOT get diagnosed and being too busy with my degree. Good luck with the NYO- it`s a fabulous group.
