Does anyone know anything about this piece? I know it is very popular and am interested in purchasing but I really want to know if it is worth it. I have looked up quite a bit about this piece but I want to get some feedback from actual flutists. Any suggestions?

I agree my friend bought it and she said she really liked it because it was very different but when I played it it didnt enjoy it that much. Sorry I know it`s not what you want to hear but it`s just my opinion. Either you like it or you don`t.

this piece was written when William Kincaid, formerly principal flute of the Philadelphia Orchestra, had his platinum flute made by the Powell flute co, 21.5 is the density of platinum.
It`s not my favorite piece, sounds like the assembly line of a factory to me, but some really like it, if anything, it is a good exercise in difficult counting

There are more than 10 worthwhile songs on that CD. It`s probably one of my favorite single Flute CDs for the quality of the pieces.

The recordings are mostly high quality recordings of Rampal along with various others great flutists.
