Can someone tell me what key the flute is in? and if possible can someone tell me where i can get a list of keys that instruments are in because at the moment i only know the keys of the four saxophones and i am tryin to start composing and orchestral peice!

Oboe: C
Clarinet: Bb
Saxes: you know
Trumpet: Bb
Trombone: not sure, but can be done in bass clef.
Baritone, Tuba: Bass clef.
All malleted percussion instruments are in C.
Did I miss any?

i think violin is in the same key as flute as is piano u might want to post on a violin section

i`ll doubt you`ll have one but Alto clar. is Eb
Bass clef is concert pitched by the way just written in a different clef

o and one more thing. i want you to look at professional orchestra`s and tell me how many sax players they have. orchestra`s play music from an era that the sax was not yet invented in. so there r no arts for a sax in orchestra. jazz orchestra thats different.

its in the key of C just like the piano, violin, tuba, bassoon, and oboe and maybe trombone
