Just testing... I wouldn`t be surprised if they signed up as a fourteen year old girl in order to plug their products online. I`ve seen it done before.

And it might be a cultural thing. For me the word "chopsaver" reminds me a) of actual meat chops and b) of the phrase "a kick/slap on the chops. The more I think about it, the less I want to apply it to my face! Maybe the lesson is, when marketing something, think about the cultural baggage the rest of the world brings to the words you use.

Oh. I know that you didn`t mean it by the way you said it. I don`t know^^. I over exaggerate all the time. Yup, that`s how i am. I`ll over exaggerate, but i won`t really mean it. boy, i`m confusing myself. ANYWAYS, you`re right. I could see how some ppl won`t like the name chop saver. I mean..i think softlip is an awesome name. *myopinion

I see ads for chopsave in Flute talk magazine which is nice. I`ve meant to try it. Allways looking for good chapstick! Right now I use the chapstick brand "chapstick medicated" which has a blue and red body with white top in USA. It heals dry lips fast and keeps them that way if you use it regularly. Recently I haven`t been able to find it! I used to get it at Walmart all the time for $1.25 but now they only carry the original. I`ve tried cheap Rite Aide versions but it`s not the same. I`ve found chapstick medicated usually in CVS, sometimes they come in packages of 2 and unfortunately when I do find them cost now about $2.25. I found a whole bunch at a ski shop and horded about 6 of them!

Hey mysticalwater1, i used to use the same chapstick as you. My mom would always get that one. It works i guess..but since i used it so much, it doesnt` work. It doesnt` heal my lips it peels off my dry lips. So yea, i didn`t like the chapstick medicated. Hope you like chopsaver.

Vaseline is cheap and good and that`s all you need.

Or Body Shop lip butter which is easily the greatest thing ever invented. But that`s not cheap.

Vaseline doesn`t work always, well, not for everyone. Especially not for me..you? maybe. And I never use chapstick while i play my instrument. some ppl do but it doesn`t work for me. I like it to put it on way before i play or afterwards. this is how i do it..

I wish I could just use Vaseline because it is nice and cheap, but it gets all over my lip plate then and makes a mess.

I found that was a problem too Kara, but then I started using less of it, rubbing it in more and giving it a while before I played. It comes off the flute easily enough anyway! I use Vaseline whenever I have sore lips, whether playing or not and it`s fine for me!

Vaseline lip therapy with Aloe Vera (green tin) is a nice variation!

That`s cool. I think chopsaver is great, and i could see how fast my lip heals now. My cousin got a chapstck for 8 dollars. WOW, and it was small too. and yea, vaseline only works for some ppl. For me that just peals off my dry lips. Alot of chapstick does...but not chopsaver^^. Don`t say anything negative until you tried it. I don`t mind negative opinions...but not even trying it?..umm..try it first.

I`ve got no negative opinions on it, and also no intention of buying it. In my opinion, cheap brand tend to be as good as their more expensive "specialist" counterparts, that`s all.

oh, just like having a All silver , gold or platinum flute? yea..some ppl go extreme. what`s wrong with a silver flute. I mean a gold lip plate and does little stuff is okay..but why go extreme when your flute is good enough.
