Since First Act flute has been brought up a lot lately on this forum I decided to get one for myself for research purposes. I only paid $25 for one on ebay, so it is not like I had to shell out a lot just for curiosity.
Hey, if it is aweful, it might look nice all the wall as decoration, right?

On second thought, I may be able to resell it to someone that needs a marching flute.

Where the heck is the edit button? It is only here sometimes. Another thing, does anyone else find it annoying to have to log in every time you want to post? I even tried checking the box that is supposed to remember me so I don`t have to do this every time and it doesn`t work.

Definitely let me know how it goes with the First Act Kara. Also try replacing a pad or spring or whatnot and see how horrendous it is to repair if it is. Let me know if you can also put your powell or other headjoint on it. I`m sure that as inexpensive as they are they probably don`t have specs as to what the diameter of the bore is so that a headjoint can be fitted to it. Thanks!

Lera,
I don't have it yet, so I have no idea. The women who sold it said it was only like a year old.

It depends how much maintenance it needs done to it till I can figure out how much to sell it for. I am sure that I will sell it under $100 or just give it away to one of my nieces to play around with.

Hey, I tried one of those flutes out at Sam's club before. They are okay from what I could tell and actually sounded better then some Gemeinhardt student flutes that I have had the misfortune of playing. I only played it for about a minute though.
