Good news!

I may be upgrading my terrible terrible Gemindhart 2sp flute soon...and I may also be getting a piccolo =D

I am first going to see what models are available at a trustworthy store...then I will post them and I need your opinion.

Also, the wind ensemble director said I might be in wind ensemble next year...it all depends how well my audition goes and if any upperclassmen and/or incoming freshmen overpower me =P

I also want to thank everyone that gives helpful advice here. There are things I have learned that I never knew before and will keep them in mind as I want to be a professional flutist =D

Congrats! I know how it feels like to get a upgrade^^. I had a terrible 2sp Gemienhardt too. LOl! Hope everything goes well. Just don't rush getting a new flute. THat's what i did..

Kara, I will! Except for the fact the audition isn't until September. I get the piece in about two and a half months or so. There is one senior in the wind ensemble, and since I am first chair, I hope that I do make it. The senior, who is second chair this year wind ensemble, was the same spot last year I am this year!

Well, schoolgirl, my 2sp isn't that bad...I just thinking it hurts my playing.

I know my 2sp wasn't that bad too, because i did a lot of things with it.^^ It all just depends on the player. That's what i think..
