i have been playing the flute for almost 2 years.i should be getting a piccolo soon.Does anyone know if the piccolo is much harder?

IMHO, yes the piccolo is harder. It takes more skill to play in tune and to control then the flute. It is pretty different then the flute, and should not be played like a flute at all and treated like an entirely different instrument.
