There is no 'best' model. Not everyone is going to agree that one is better then the other. That is why we pick the model and brand that fits us the best.
Is handmade better? Not always.

Micron, I have a question for you since I am sure you have seen a lot more handmade flutes then I have.
I was thinking..wouldn't a flute with adjustment screws come out of adjustment more easily or faster then one without? I know it is a pain to adjust a flute without the screws on it, but I just wondered about this. Screws seem to work their way out a lot faster. Maybe that is why all hand made flutes don't have them? What are your thoughts?

Sorry, I should refrais that. Not ALL handmade flutes don't use adjusment screws. I know that Murmatsu is now using them on thier flutes.

Yes, the screws on Muramatsu flutes are very good. I did have some problems with adjustment screws backing thier way out on a Gemeinhardt I used to own. I know the ones on the First Act flute that I have did not hold either.
Why is it that more companies don't follow in the footsteps of Muramatsu and put adjustment screws on flutes? Is is just to torment repair techs? Lol!
