Hey everyone! This is my first time here, I just started to learn flute, but I cannot make my tone pure and smooth, specially the higher tone. And I am wondering if anyone have any tips for me would be great. Anything would be appreciated! Thanks.

Do you have a teacher yet? If not, I would highly recommend you get one.
Well, it is hard on line to show you anything, but there is some very good documentation of a teacher giving a student flute lessons over emails. You may find some helpful thing in there.

Welcome!

I would suggest that you find a copy of Rubank Elementary Methods for flute. It is a very well known practice book to most directors and I bet that your teacher could find you one. As for sheet music, just go to your local music store and ask the people working there (that's what they're for!) to help you find some easier beginner music. A good thing to do is get some music that you like in a beginner format so that, after you are done with scales and tone-work, you can relax with some fun music!

Best of luck!

Yeah, Kara and Micron, I can vouch for the links you suggested. I wonder if you've seen this one: www.rdbflute.com/Chapter1.pdf

It's the first chapter of The Physical Flute by Robert Aitken. And of course, there are plenty of good tips at larrykrantz.com
