Thanks jaky! He has good days and bad days, but is still making progress. He is off all of the narcotic level of pain medicine now and is just using Tylenol as needed.

He may be able to play again as early as November. But, it all depends on subsequent rechecks with the surgeon.

He still cannot lift more than 5 pounds, can't blow his nose, use a straw, submerge in water, yell, sing, cough/sneeze with force, etc. So, he has to be able to do all of those things before even considering playing his trumpet again. Hopefully he will be back and playing by Advent.

I have a question on brushing teeth. My mom brushes her teeth really hard...and has been doing that for years. Her teeth are big and you could kinda see the "root"...or is it that her teeth are VERY long? b/c i've never seen anyone else that has teeth like that...? sry,..WAY off topic..but i wondered if you knew

<Added>

it's only noticable if she smiles REALLY REALLY big..but a regular smile you don't see it that much..onlly a little
