pick out the exercises that suit you, I still do the 17 Big Daily Exercises each day and swear by them, I don't do all each day, but I do many of them

The17 grand exercises are wonderful. I also do the E.P. series. You should check out the Galway Forum if you want help from Galway himself. He goes through a few of them on recordings and gives you insight to them. http://www.thegalwaynetwork.com

Click on enter at the bottom of the page. Then clock on special files or something located right above the network forum click-box.

i use this book. i pick out about 4 of the exercises (sometimes i do more if i feel like it... im lazy) and use different articulations at different tempos ranging from ridiculously slow to ridiculously fast. its good stuff, this book. i start my students on this book as soon as i can because you can always slow down the tempo.
