You can buy the case cover from Gemeinhardt which has handles on it. Look at the Gemeinhardt site. They are rather expensive, but I'm sure you could find a good price on one. I did a Google search for "Gemeinhardt flute case covers." Let me know if you find one!

Looks like the 12ESP is the split-E international version of the 2SP. So you probably have a C-foot. You could try Ozwinds in Australia for ordering a replacement case or case cover. Likely easier and faster than having it shipped from the US.

most of these cases are standard for student flutes, it is professional cases that sometimes pose problems, my flute is a Haynes from 1951 and I need to custom order a new case because the body of the flute is a bit longer $$$

Farrylulu,

There is an advantage in getting a case cover (with handles) and putting the original hard case inside: You do not need to keep the drying and clenaing clothes inside the case with the instrument, as you can put them inside the plastic cover. This way, the instrument is not stored in a humid environment.

I believe you can have a plastic cobver (with handles) be made for you by an artisan (i.e what you need is a sewing machine and the materials) in case you cannot buy the right one in your country.

More importantly even thinly folding your cleaning cloths can let the case press into the keys on your flute can cause it to come out of adjustment. Nothing should go inside your flute case, but your flute!

Farry,

I was suggesting you have a soft cover (you may call it case) be made by an artisan, not the hard case (as you already have that!)

It could be easily made from leather-simile plastic cloth. Or even true leather, if it is common and cheap in your country (but in leather it could smell slightly bad, with time).

It could also personalize the look of your flute, in case you like that or have it "neutral" say, in black as the case is with my Yamaha (fits factory cover in this case).

Hope I am not making my English too complicated for you, it is not my mother tongue, either.

(fits factory cover in this case) =(its factory cover, in my case)

Thank Jose luis
Sometime I confused between case, hard case, cover case.
Hard case and cover case is a new word for me.
Today I asked my thacher about "What is the cover case (soft cover) for my flute. And teacher said "Your flute put in B foot case" You know? My flute is C foot. I don't belive it!!!
I must to buy cover case in B foot!!!It's big!!!
Oh I forget to tell you.I bought secondhand flute.

Farry, ninafire said that your flute "is probably" a C foot model.

But your teacher should know the difference, it is very obvious.

So, why don't you check it for yourself? I's very easy, IMHO (those more experienced please correct if I am wrong):

C foots have two holes (one for C and one C#) and B foots have three (for B, C and C#).

How many holes has your foot?

<Added>

Sorry about using "IMHO", it is an abbreviation for "In My Humble Opinion", but I should not be using that lingo, it only complicates the understanding.

So you have a C foot flute and a B foot case. That could be a little problem because the B foot case is longer and normally does not fit in standard carrying bags,a nd you do not need such a long case for your C foot instrument.

But As you have it already and it is difficult to get more cases at your country, then you have few other choices than importing a new or used case, with handles.

I guess that the hard cases that come without a plastic cover or bag from factory, do have handles on the hard case, as happens with my student Gemeinhardt.

The Yamaha I bought recently has no handles on the hard case because it comes with a plastic (flexible) cover and the handles are on this cover.

Apart from getting an external cover for your hard case, new, second hand or made by a local artisan, I imagine you could attach a handle to your hard case, provided you can buy a small metal handle at a suitable hardware store (they are easy to find in my city). Then you could attach the handle (or have it installed) with small wood screws on the front of your current case. (Check before that the case is made out of wood and not of plastic). If you use this solution, you must be very careful that the screws are not too long so that the tips do not protrude inside the case, as this could damage the instrument or hurt your hands.

Just another idea...
