Although you have fair skin... that blonde is too much for your comlexion.

7 Hairdressing Tips Only Your Stylist Knows:
If you have pink skin, avoid shades of red or golden blonde. Opt instead for ash tones to neutralize your coloring.

Brown with Ash Blonde may work if you're determined for blonde.

(I don't do hair, I just appreciate great hair )

Brown with Ash Blonde highlights, that is.

comlexion, complexion... it's late

HAHAHA..Stephen...my hair is white...which, in hairdressing terms, since I am a hairstylist, is an "ash" type color. LOL it actually looks quite good in person. Don't believe everything you read in magazines, either. I avoid the rules and the people that come out of my salon get rave reviews of their hair colors and styles. Of course, everyone thinks that I am nuts. I make it work though.

Your hair photographs as platinum blonde to me.

This is a great ash color for pink skin, ignore the lady attached:

Though shocking white is like platinum blonde and looks good for more sallow skinned types as it brings out what little color is in the face. For pink skinned it makes your face look high in contrast.

(No, that's not our Kara)

Think poodles. Show class poodles with white hair do not have pink skin.

When I see a poodle with pink skin I think it looks horrid, though a lot of people don't seem to notice.

Ok I must go quite the G word right now and say...Brad and his hair are on FIRE when he had it blond and short! That brown doesn't do anything for him! Except that he has highlights...LOL I know my photograph is platinum blonde! Do you know what color is used to get a platinum blonde? LOL an 11 or 12 level Ash! That lady's hair is just plain grey. Truly, it is. Although grey is an ash color...you cannot ever reproduce it using hair colors. You can make a metallic silver, which I have done to myself a few times, but never grey.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platinum_Blonde

In this reference it says that platinum blond(e)s are achieved by chemically stripping the hair of almost all natural pigment.

The only pigment left is the lightest shade of yellow which is so indescribably close to white that you can't tell the difference.

Each hair strand is made up of 5 basic elements -Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Sulfur. Hence, Sulfer might be the reason that platinum blond(e)s most of the time need to use a toner to alter the color of the "yellow" that is left. Since yellow is a primary color...its neutralization color is gotten by mixing the remaining two primary colors (red and blue) and using that as a toner. Red and Blue make Purple (an ash color), and that neutralizes and ashes out the platinum blonde so that the wearers are available for public consumption.

Trust me, if my hair was yellow blond, golden blond, or any other blond beside platinum I would not be wearing it. I dislike yellow (and green). The only colors that really go in my hair are White, natural medium sandy blond (which is my natural color - 7N for those of you that care which is probably no one here!), blue, purple, red, or fuschia! I don't do natural colors most of the time. I am a tad eccentric, and not saying that I force my clients to, but they feel more comfortable with me if they decide to do something outlandish on the spur of the moment because I do do EVERYTHING. Nowadays it's not only what goes with your skin color or tone. It's what goes with your personality. Who cares about skin tone now? You gotta live for the moment and do something crazy sometimes!

I'm really sorry for going WAY off topic here guys! I just wanted to clarify some things. Please forgive me and any future clarification messages that I might need to post.

-Dennis

I don't care. It is my body. He loves me for who I am, crazy side an all! He didn't say anything when I came home with a nose piercing from my last vacation. Everytime I come home from a vacation something is different about me, I think he just expects it now.
