I played the bassoon for 2 years in high school. There is a lovely picture in my 10th grade yearbook that shows a good image of my attitude about lugging it back and forth to school. I had good arms, though, sans weightlifting.
Still, I wish I'd kept at it--it is a pretty cool instrument.
