smell the new summer/winter mixed up air....smells a bit like toast which is why i like being a springbaby

Definitely still summer weather here since we'll have triple digits until about November 1st or so. We did have a beautiful storm this evening that brought the temps down (temporarily that is).
Have fun at the zoo, Micron and kiddos! Tommorrow after Mass, we'll be gathering at grandma's house, along with all the cousins, for a nice meal and a day of swimming. I'm making an ice cream dessert to bring, so I'd better get started on it. I don't know the name of it, we always call it "(insert son's name)'s birthday cake" because he doesn't eat cake, but does like this ice cream concoction instead. It involves layers of crushed Oreos, ice cream and crushed Butterfinger bars. Real easy, but a bit of a messy process.
