I just wanted to say hi and that I haven't had a chance to really read and reply too much in the forum as life has been hectic since my husband and I have started renovated our house. Not fun! It is looking really nice though, on a plus side. I do miss playing my flute though

On a sad note, I just found out that my uncle just died today from congestive hear failure, so please keep my family and his in your prayers. I have been asked to play the flute as his funeral, but not sure if I will be able to since I will be able to because of travel arrangements. I did find out that he listened faithfully to my flute CD everyday. That made me feel really good, but really sad too. I will miss him.

So, I thought I would check in and say hi to my friends on here and let you know I didn't abandon anyone. Happy fluting!

Sorry, I meant to write congestive HEART falure.

Thank you so much I have already taken some before pics because my sister asked me to do the same thing. I will let you know when I post them on my site. We are working on the master bedroom right now. I think that ugly puke yellow/green carpeting that was in there is as old as me. It was so gross having to rip it out! My asthma is terrible right now.

Kara, receive my sincere condolences.

We have a thought here that says "Better for who goes, worse for who stays". It's a hard time to deal with now. I've lost my mother in law one year ago, and it's recently enough for us (mostly my wife) to deeply feel the loss from time to time.
At least we can count on one thing: time is the only remedy for some situations to set down.

Thank you all for your very kind words. It really does help.
I decided not to attend the funeral as I just could not get away right now. I would have loved to play my flute for it, but they said they are going to play my CD instead. So a part of me will kind of be there, I guess.

Renevations are going well. I just laid down the last of the wood flooring in our master bedroom. Yes... thats rigth.. I did the rest of it. My husband showed me how and it was so much fun. I love using the big tools!! lol!

Again, thanks a million guys!

I am sorry about your uncle.

I am also truly impressed. My husband and I are home improvement nebbishes. I suppose it is good, though--the way I like to move things around in the house, if I could actually rip and tear and install, it might be scary.

I am still dreaming that I can rip up my carpet and find hand-crafted hardwood floors underneath, like they do on Trading Spaces. Unfortunately, since we are the first owners of this house, I know that there's nothing but particle board under there. But, it's nice to dream.

That would be nice! I have always liked doing hands on work. I am a bit of a Tom boy, I am afraid. I just have to remember when to slow down because of my bad hands. I really hate that. Almost done with the room now. Then I can relax till the next project and actually pay my flute some well deserved attention. Sorry, to the board for straying off topic.

What the heck? It quoted the wrong part. Weird??
