I play an Armstrong 103 xP Open holed, silver plated, C foot... Nothing special, really. I've been hinting on wanting an advanced one, but I don't really need it.

I've just become the proud new owner of an Armstrong Eb flute. I've wanted one of these for about 2 years (since I first got to play one), and I'm so excited! It's going to be a Christmas present, though, so I don't actually get to have it for another few weeks. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, though!

No wonder you're such a good player, Patrick! I wish I had something that nice! Just out of curiousity, what's the crown made of? Aluminum?

So Flutist06, are you the one that outbid me on the Armstrong Eb flute on ebay?<G> Let me know how it plays, I too have wanted one but not really sure what I would use it for....

Was it the one that ended this afternoon? If so, then yes, that was my mom's account. I have a separate one. But anyway, the short answer is yes, that was me. Were you the original bidder? I'll be sure to let you know how it plays once I finally get my hands on it. Sorry that I had to outbid you, but it really was a great price for one that was already in playing condition, so I wasn't about to let it go if I could help it.

I have an Armstrong 80B with original factory-produced head (doesn't that make it sound impressive?).

As for cats, I put up the Christmas ivy on the stair railing last night. I am armed with a squirt bottle against the ivy-eating menace.

I should add that it is a VINTAGE Armstrong, circa 1983. ;)

Ha! Ha! Ha! Judy!!! Oh, yes... we have a squirt bottle too for ours. They don't seem to learn though. They are so stubborn!
