Thanks to our flute forum friend Kara, my daughter is getting a new open hole flute for Christmas. It is a beautiful model 3 Gemienhardt that she added some gold plating touches to. It also has a beautiful topaz gemstone in the crown. I have to tell you all that Kara does FABULOUS work! Online photos really don't do it justice. It is not only beautiful but has a wonderful sound as well. Her Christmas list included a new flute case and gemstone crown. Boy will she be suprised to get a new flute (in her style of choice) as well!
I have it all planned out and will try to get it on video. Once she opens it and sees the nice new case I will say that I knew she needed a new one. Why doesn't she go get her flute to see if it will fit ok. Then when she opens the case she will be doubly surprised.
I am absolutely thrilled about being able to give her such a great gift this year. One that will last for so many years to come. It is all due to the kindness of Kara.
