I'm playing Bach's Partita in a minor for solo and ensemble this year but I can only play two movements when I perform. Which would be the best two to play? I thought the first and third would be best because they are two contrasting movements, but if anyone has any other ideas, let me know!

Thanks!

I think that is a wise choice, unless you want to end with a faster mvt, you may want to play the 3rd then 4th mov. in that order, also depends on time restrictions they give you.

Good luck, I have played the partita many times and never tire of it.

I would also choose the firt and third movement. That is a nice piece. Good luck with it.
