Unfortunately, "grade 7" is not enough information for us to make valid suggestions on pieces of music. There are many, MANY grading systems, some of which differ greatly from others. Perhaps a list of things you've been studying/performing recently would allow for some accurate suggestions. As for the Telemann, I have the sheet music, but have not studied it, so I can't make any comments on it.

if you don't mind me asking where did you get the telemann from?

Any easyish good flute concerto would do.

I don't mind you asking at all. I've had the music for several years, so I'm not quite sure anymore, but I seem to believe I purchased it through fluteworld.com.

hi yay for flutes, purely by the fact that you said that you were looking for pieces around a grade 7, i am assuming you're British am i right ? The american grading system i believe is 1 (beginner) 2 (intermediate) and 3 (advanced) although i'm not sure if there's a 4 at super advanced lolol.

This website does have many members from the world over, but not many i think from the uk.

If you're looking for music in England try www.justflutes.co.uk

If your looking for a flute site forum in the uk, go to http://forums.abrsm.org
This is the associated boards own forum and has a woodwind board where a lot of flautists will answer your questions especially about the grading of music.

Hi Angie...I'm American, and we have a large number of systems, some ranging from 1-6, others 1-10, and probably a few in between, but I've never seen one from 1-3. It would be nice if we had a standardized system that was that simple, but unfortunately, that's not the case.

I was only taking a guess chris as this is how fluteworld grade their pieces and i know that the shops in the uk use the examination boards grades to grade the music that they sell, i just assumed that the shops in usa would do the same .... my mistake

Actually, I think that Fluteworld grades on a scale of 1-5. In the US, it's less common to do examinations like in the UK...In fact, I don't know anyone personally that has been through an examination process, so I suppose it makes sense that our grading systems don't line up quite like those in the UK (It makes sense that our grading systems don't make sense? ).
