Do you refer to the first part of Fauré's Fantasy for flute and piano?
If so, I'd advise you to look for much contrast in dynamics. Also, about the tempo, I play this part not too slow. I think you could begin with 60 for the dotted quarter.

I think she means the flute and piano arrangement of the sicilienne from the orchestral piece...if so, play it like a singer, not a flute player, you will always play Faures music better and enjoy it more if you play it in this way
