Hi. I'm gonna learn flute. Does anyone have any tips. I have thought it through and I'm sure this is what I want to do.

The best advice IMO is to get yourself a teacher, if only for a few lessons. It's important that you learn the basics correctly, as bad habits can not only inhibit your progress, but can also lead to serious physical problems down the line.

Don't give up if you get annoyed by trying to learn how to play!

Just keep on working on it ;D

^^ Like above, get a teacher... if you can't, get a book like the one my friend gave me when I started home learning, called Take up the flute. It teaches you the absolute basics and two octaves of notes. It won't get you far but it gets you started.
And if you're like me and can't really afford a regular teacher, try going for lessons every few weeks, to phase out bad habits before you're set in your way with them.
