I live in TN and I think MARCHING BAND ROCKS. Wow. I`m at Band Camp right now and dont know how I ever lived without being in band. It`s so cool. Bandies are HOTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

marching band is so hard i am section leader this year of flutes and piccs and it really sucks but "everything of worth is found full of difficulties" -John Smith. it`s really hard to get the kids to be dedicated.. ugh especially my freshmen but someone has to do the job!! i live in phoenix and my band is awful but we have a new director and we`re getting better everyday... concert band is better though! i agree bandies are hot.. especially those drummers! well good luck this season all!

Yeah I do marching band! We recently went to Disneyland and marched there. It was so much fun! I play flute and piccolo we do field shows, parades, concerts, pep stuff, and other stuff like that. Even for halloween we get to dress up and march downtown. Band is definetly an experience you wont forget .

My school`s is 380 people this year, and we only have 10-12 graders.

Yeah our band is doing the heartbeat
movement this year. It seems to be going pretty
well even though we are just starting the third
movement. Oh well. But we live in VA.

yes, i "do marching band". and, yes, i agree that "marching band is a lot like heroin. you hate it while you do it but you just can`t quit." i am an alto saxophone player, but while "doing marching band" i am in the colorguard! *shudders--scary people with flags....run!!!!!!!!!*
this is my first year in marching band since only sophomores through seniors (with a select few freshmen) can play in our band.
but last year, our entire freshmen-senior band went to the Fiesta Bowl competition and parade. we sucked really badly. but this year our show is better. i`m glad too, otherwise i`d be sad.
the theme of our show is "flight". our band even forms a plane in the show. our songs are: to tame the perilous skies, to challenge the skies and heavens above, visions of flight. we get to play with a parachute, too! (the colorguard, that is). *looks up*. well, that was a long post! that`s all!

Hey...I`ve played for the La Joya Coyote Marching Band...And we play`ed that song To Tame The perliousSkies ,Ishmael,Litugical Dances , Finale.....Its very awesome..experience..MArching Band is the best music out there..Go La Joya Coyotes!!!

i di`nt mettion something......Once I was in Memorial Middle School at La Joya....in my 7-8th grade year....The 4 lajoya middles schools get together..to battle La joya Marching Band
and at the End We FIght Together..This is a awsome Experience....What A Huge Band ..La Joya Supreme Marching Band + LJ 9th Grade Cneter....but We are the Best..

They Are the Best !!! They have a high ranking...undefeatable....all my life i went to Hidalgo Elemntry..din`t make it to bandther....so i went to Memorail Middle School(La Joya)Band ....then my journey continues at La Joya 9th Garde Center..LJ 9th grade center Band was all the 4middle school again together for a year,
from there i went to Mcallen High School Marching BAnd..Bulldongs.and they suck.Mcallen Sux.....But BAND RULEs......

Are high school band is doing an original piece this year called Echoes of Humanity I wonder if it will win another notional?!~
