i said different lol! Not necessarily more advanced!! Its impossible to put a certain sound on a type of metal as a) wwere all different and b) there are so many different models/makes etc. Eg i tried out a gold burkhart and phelan and it was so dark but yet the gold powell was shimmery rather than dark lol!! So its hard to say! I just love muramatsus with this gold/silver lafin head!

Hi CooperDog,

I am curious to know how was Wibb's Altus flute for you? Was it good?

Was it one with a seamed tube/headjoint?

hey...me and cooper both tried wibb's flute...and we tried the louis lott body (is that right coop??) with an arista headjoint, and i thought it was amazing. It was a seamed tube, not sure about the head though, and it helped produce a very dark and big sound...not suprising as it's wibbs !!! i love it !!

cooper - what did u think???

Kara is correct re materials, if SIMBA made a gold flute, it would still sound like a SIMBA

yes i agree, the characteristics that define a sound to be someones witll still be the same no matter what but with different metals, certain things are highlighted and vice versa
