There's news on the flute lists of a new flute coming out by Bickford Brannen and Conn-Selmer: The Avanti-Brannen Flute.

The flute was featured at the flute convention and couple flute listers shared these details:

-It will be available Nov. 15.
-They have 2 models, one with a silver headjoint ($1,000-$1,100 range) and the
other with a silver body (for around $1,600 or $1,700).
-It will be made in the USA (in Conn-Selmer's Elkhart, IN factory), not in
China.
-They are available with or without C# trill, split e,
with choice of B- or C-foot and choice of open or closed cups. The
springs on the all silver [tube] series are 10K gold.
