No, to avoid all confusion and discussion it is necessary to quit the instrument itself. This will solve the problem handily.

although I somewhat agree with that statement, quitting flute doesn't help the matter much.

Roger:lol that would be funny to see!I would even pay to see that!

Flaut sounds like some type of exotic fish that you would buy illegally....

I tried quitting once but the lack of the practicing made me start to see pink elephants marching in my house. My ears were ringing, I had a twitch in my right eyelid and I shaked incessantly. I could hardly remove the bed covers from over my head.

Also a Flauta is a way to prepare a Mexican flour tortilla.

Sometimes I think the correct term should be a flaunt-it.

Does it honestly matter what you call us? I've never even heard of "flautist" so I've always used "flutist" but I don't think it honestly matters. No offense, but I don't think it's necessary to get into a huge debate over which term is correct. Both are, end of story. Use both and voila...period. =)

Kate.

Actually, I'm Kaitlin but there are too many freaking Kaitlin's on the planet so I just shorten it to Kate and that's what I am called. That or Kat. It's just easy than saying KAITLIN! NO NOT YOU! THE ONE WITH THE BROWN HAIR!!! NO THE ONE WITH THE PINK FINGERNAIL! Or something...lol. =D

Yeah as a teacher I'm seeing a lot of Kaitlins around.

or is it Caitin, Caitlyn, Caytln, Kaytlyne. I'm confused. Of course then there's Caity-lynn.

I had a girl named Cindy who changed her nam'es spelling every time she came into her lesson- just to annoy me. Cyndee, Cyndie, Cindy, Cindie, Sin-dee etc....she used them all.

Used to be a lot of Jennifers for awhile but that's not as popular right now.

It's good to try to be a bit different. When I was growing up, I knew of two other people with the same exact first and last name as I have. Now I know of only one fictional character. hehe
