Dear Mr. Millen

Thank you very much for your message. I had the pleasure of studying with Mr. Kaplan and know him quite well. The past 2 years we have made 100% French model OPEN HOLE flutes. the 2 preceeding years all but 4. OPEN HOLE flutes are superior in most every way and for those who prefer CLOSED HOLES we provide a set of plugs to put in the holes. We do have a 6 month wait on most models, but do have a few new flutes which we make for display which may be available. Please let me know what specifications you desire such as B or C foot, inline or offset G, silver, 14K gold or whatever you desire and will be pleased to assist you. Thank you for your interest in Haynes Flutes.

Sincerely yours,

Alan Weiss

Jim/Jean,

You are trying to argue about something that has no answer, it is subjective, like saying which is the best rock band, etc...art is subjective...

Why is this guy a troll when he has a strong opinion?

This place reminds me of a place I used to go to when I was little.

A place called backwards-land.

Everyone who is less intelligent is the smartest. Those who have no talent or drive, they are the omnipotent advice-givers.

Your equations don't add up. Differing opinions = trolls?

I guess if everyone is the same there will be no arguments. I know of a few places where everyone is the same and differences are not tolerated. Does anyone with a brain really want to be involved in that?
