Dear Forum:

I just wanted to take a moment to thank jbutky, Pletko, Bilbo --- and the many others who have responded to my posts, regarding flute playing and construction!

You guys and gals are all great!

I’ve learned so much from this forum --- and I’m sure the many “new” and “seasoned” members appreciate your feed-back to my previous flute posts.

I’ve had a lot of response on “Flutes Made in China”, “Metal flute construction”, “Favorite flutist”, etc.

A lot of questions were answered from a lot of very knowledgeable people, and I (and those from the forum who asked) really appreciate your taking time from your busy schedules to help!

It was very much appreciated by all.

Best to all of you: Jim

umm..may not be the most appropriate place topost this, but I am very tired and this popped out at me.
On flute,is there any note lower than that C right below the staff?
And On B foot flute, don't you press down both twirly thingies to play C?

(sorry for my informal terms..not sure how to put it >_>
Thank you very much
Cheyenne

If you have a C foot then the lowest note you can hit is that low C below the staff. You could always add a tube to it to make it go to a low B also which would be kind of silly, but if you didn't have a B foot then...

To play a low c on a B foot flute, you use the exact same fingering that you would on a C foot flute. The two rollers are pressed. Now if you would like to get that B out you just press one more roller down, so you have all three down. Make sense?
