Surely there are other quality forums for flute players, technicians and collectors.

Saxophone lovers have the Sax on the Web forum, Clarinet lovers have the BBoard. And we have THIS??? No moderators, no indication of what is read, what is new...

That user Jim Millen/Crevis would have been eliminated a long time ago on those forums (specially the Clarinet Bboard, the moderator is very strict).

Please post your links here.

I would recommend the flute sister forum of the Bboard, but I don't know if that one is moderated or not.

There is always the Galways forum. That is very well moderated. I read it sometimes but don't post muchas it isn't my cup of tea.

Hi .
Just had a look at flutetalk...looks like jim has started posting there too...oh dear.
Fluteland.com,seems ok,,but not many people posting..
Agree with kara on the Galway network forum,,,i can't get on with the way its laid out,,much easier to read posts on forums like this..

The only other one i look at,is this one..
http://forums.abrsm.org ,covers all instruments,,but it's mainly british...suppose that kind of figures really considering who they are...

Here's one more:

That forum doesn't seem very popular. There aren't many posts and most of them are old. It could have some good info, though.

At least there is one very big good thing about that forum... it doesn't have the same person posting topic after topic flooding it either.

After the other stunt that was pulled a couple of days ago on here, I almost gave up on this forum. Thank God the mod stepped in and saved the day.

I belong to a woodworking forum too and the moderators on there are like pitbulls,,nearly over the top with what they "censure"...but it works,,its a happy forum.
On that forum though, theres quite a few moderators,,some cover the whole site, whilst others cover just certain catergories..

I don't know how it works here,,but with some of the long standing members here,,could they ask whoever owns the site if they could become moderators on the flute forum,,so this side of it could police itself.
My thoughts anyway...agreed after the other night,,it would be a great shame to see this forum be ripped apart..
