Ugh yesterday I was about to have my H.S winter concert, and my left thumb keys fell off!? the screw holding them in place always need to be screwed in a little since it come out a tiny bit, but this time it did, and then it just all falls off both keys, and im like frantic. I did not know what to do, I got fixed thankfully, but is there a way I can keep the screw in place other than using what people claim to work like nail polish, I will not put nail polish on my flute regardless if its safe or not? well anyone know anything good? thanks

What is wrong with using a small drop of clear nail polish? You will never see it. It is certainly better then it coming apart all the time. There is a product called lock tight that repair techs use, but I would not use that on the thumb keys as you will never get it off when the time comes to have it re oiled.

why not put nail polish on your flute? i have nail polish on my headjoint and body and use it a guide to quickly put my flute together. and its pink nail polish. if it bothers you later on, you can easily take it off - harmlessly - with nail polish remover.
