Any thoughts on this model?
(Taking into account a price tag under $1000)
Thanks!

Last weekend i tried out a powell sonare, powell signature, miyazawa (solid head plated tube) muramatsu ex, muramatsu gx and diMedici series 9, and although i preferred the muramatsu, i have to say that i thought the diMedici was a good flute for the money (actually i was pretty impressed with it)

if you can get the 911 for such a good price, go for it, I always have one in my possession as Jupiter sends them to me...let me know if you have any more questions about them, I have been to the factory and advise them on new headjoint designs, I prefer the D4 headjoint, but they may have others available...

I'm still thinking about it--probably have the weekend. But, just found out it's an inline G and I really wanted offset. I've been using a plug in the flute I now have, and this should be my "last" flute, so I'll probably hold out for something else. I've been leaning towards the Azumi 2000.
Thanks for all your replies.

I just found a deal on a new Jupiter DiMedici 911 for just under $1000.
I was inquiring about Pearls but I could not pass up such a good deal for my daughter's second flute. She out grew her Yahmaha 221 in one year.
The Yamaha served her well. As a first year player she wound up being first chair in her middle school band, made All County (Elementary level)and got a perfect score at NYSSMA.
Who knew?
I would have loved to have purchased her a Pearl Dolce but I find myself on a fixed income these days so the price on the DiMedici worked.

UPS delivered the DiMedici 911RBS today. I had my daughter play it and also her Yamaha 221 to see if I could hear a difference between the two flutes.

The most obvious difference between the DiMedici and the Yamaha 221 (that my one working ear noticed) is that the DiMedici produces much more sound volume.

More subtle differences that I noticed were the higher and lower notes seemed much clearer on the DiMedici. The Yamaha 221 tended to screech a little on the higher notes. The lower notes seem to have more depth on the DiMedici.

The DiMedici doesn't seem anymore darker or brighter than the Yamaha to my ear. The two seem equal there.

That is my unqualified opinion comparison from listening to my daughters playing of the two flutes.
She is very happy with the DiMedici after one afternoon of practice with it.
We'll see what her private instructor's opinion is on Wednesday when the instructor puts the flute through the paces.
