hmm. I don't think that it's a page issue. I wonder if they have been having quality issues....

I wouldn't be the least bit suprised. Even for the price I would still buy an Amrstrong or Emerson piccolo over one. Any of the Sonare piccs that I have tried I did not like at all and the mechanism was horrible on them.

One of the vendors and at the flute fair said that they couldn't get any or them in in time and that they were very popular with the army bands.

I ended up getting an Armstrong 308 piccolo for a backup to my wood as I know these are very reliable. I owned one for about four years before the purchase of a wood piccolo.

im sorry but id be very embarassed if i was the top dog at powell....

i really dont like sonares. i get so baffled when the middle/high school kids upgrade from their gemeinhardt to sonares. thats not an upgrade at all. id rather play on a gemeinhardt over a sonare any day.

Here is what I found on kesslers music:

Sonare SP-500 Piccolo - Discontinued!!! -view pictures-
February 7, 2008 - Sonare Winds announced that they are discontinuing the SP-500 piccolo. This is largely due to recent quality control problems from their key manufacturer in China. Sonare is planning on releasing a newer version of the piccolo near the end of 2008 using a new Taiwanese manufacturing partner. New new Taiwan/USA model will be a new model number and will have a higher price.

HONESTLY I LOVED THE SONARE PICCOLO! GLAD I GOT ONE!!

Well I thought that Maybe Sonare discontinued them but they are still on their web site. I think that the only way to find out about why FW doesn't list the Picc and does list the flute line is to ask them.

<Added>

oops, just read TonyT's response. disregard the above ^

Maybe the new Picc will be of better manufacture. ;-)
