Hey everyone. I'm looking to sell my Yamaha 385 open hole flute. I know that model isn't made anymore, I was just wondering if you all thought I would have any luck trying to sell it and if so, if anyone had any suggestions about where to advertise.
Thanks

I just sold my Yamaha 385II with a B foot. I had it advertised everywhere.

What worked for me is telling my flute teacher that I was selling it. She had some students that wanted to step up to an open hole flute. The flute was in top condition and I just had it serviced. I got top dollar. I also allowed the prospective buyer to try it before he bought it. That was a case of nerves. Nothing compares to letting a teenage boy test play your flute. I was on edge and praying that he didn't drop it or ding it.

Went wonderfully. I got lucky and got $550 for it.

Try flute teachers or Flute clubs.

Good luck

Thanks so much!!

Like I said, silver Yamaha 385 open hole, in-line g flute. I don't know of the exact age...it was a few years old when I bought it in high school (I'll be graduating from college next year). It was my second flute and a great step up from my beginner's model. It has been played very very lightly over the last several years. It's in good condition, I love this flute and have done my best to keep in in good condition. There is a small, barely noticeable ding on the head of the flute. This model is no longer made and it's been priced between $400-$500. I would like $450 for it, but I'm definitely willing to negotiate. I really want someone who loves playing and wants to learn to have this flute. It was a great flute for me!
