Today i woke up and i had an incredibly achey wrist, which i have been getting quite a bit lately, and i know it is from my flute, my mum said it is nothing to worry abotu and just o talk to my flute teacher to make sure i am holding it right but my flute teacher has been on holiday so i have not been able to talk to her about it, i was wondering if holding my flute incorrectly could be the issue and what i can do to remerdy the situation as it has onlt been happenign for the past mouth or so nd i am also starting it get flute related bruse on the side of my left index finger by the knuckle.
any advice ould be appricated

pay very close attention to your body while you are playing. If you feel any tension at all anywhere take a second and shake it out. its a good idea to take a break every fifteen minutes or so to massage your hands and wrists. If you feel any pain at all while practicing DO NOT play through it. Let your hands be as loose and natural as possible while you are playing. In the right hand you should be holding it as if you were loosely grasping a notebook, Or as if you weren't holding anything and you are just gently touching your thumb to the rest of your fingers with not extra effort. Instead of feeling as though you are grasping your flute, picture your arms and body hanging from it.

If it your right hand, maybe try getting a brace so you don't have to bend your wrist to play, JUST DON'T GET INTO THE HABIT OF FLAT FINGERS
