I`m completely self taught and though it may take longer it`s fun to figure things out myself. Besides, I have a musically inclined boyfriend who is always willing to suggest excersizes that he thinks will enhance musicianship in general.

Maybe I`ll pay for lessons someday...

I used to do piano and now I do flute. I still play piano, and even though I got to Grade 1 with it, I can play a Grade 6 piece. But flute`s even funner! Especially to blow the high notes at the people you hate!!! I can almost hit an e above the high c. It`s so fun! Just look up fingerings and you will find it. There`s higher, but I need an open key B-foot. And there`s so many good songs for flute (like Tambourin, which I NEED the music to, because it`s such a fun song to play!! All I can do is play it by ear, but I don`t know the whole song. Email me if you find it. It`s br Gossec) and it sounds so pretty. Especially with a vibrato, which I just found out I can do. And it helps you sing with one without the crazy-lips thing and no, I don`t do voice.

Jenny, I think you can ask your band teacher for advise. I am a flute player and living in vancouver too. How old are you? How long have you been playing flute? Do you know any other instruments? And what school are you attending?

I`m Jenny.I`m 15 years old turning 16 in December. I`ve been just wanting to learn how to play the flute just this summer. I played clarinet for 2 year, I want to try to play the flute this year. I attend Vancouver Technincal Secondary School. Do you know where NorthWest Music Inc. is? I want to get my flute there. I`ve got a flute but...it`s like not very nice to see. If you find out where`s NorthWest Music could you tell me how can I get there by bus okay? What`s your e-mail address and do you`ve msn messenger? You can reply back to me A.S.A.P. okay

Thanks alot Annie!

Buh-Bye!

Jenny,

I think you don`t have to get another flute for now. You can just try to learn it in the summer and see how you like it before deciding to buy a new one. But it`s all up to you. Let me give you Northwest Music`s website, it has their address on it. http://www.northwestmusic.ca/company.html
It`s on main street. You can take Bus No.3 Main to there. Tell me about it later~ Yeah, I have msn. Maybe you can add me.. ak_ying@hotmail.com
